Swatch Group: how is 2021 going?

Il Swatch group is the largest watch manufacturer in the world. In addition to the colorful low-cost watches Swatch, the company controls brands such as Omega, Breguet, Blancpain e Tissot. It is therefore an excellent barometer to understand the health of the watch market as a whole: in fact, Swatch production covers all price ranges.

The economic situation of the Swatch Group

Il Swatch Group recently disclosed its economic situation. The company seems to be able to recover the profitability levels of 2019, thanks above all to the Chinese and US markets, but not only. The reopening in Europe, although still patchy, have allowed many stores to resume operations, bringing the revenues of the Swatch Group almost at pre-pandemic restrictions levels.

2020 was a red year for Swatch Group, as with many other watchmakers, but the group has broad shoulders and its rebounding ability indicates that the watchmaking industry still has a lot to say.

The sales levels of the various brands

It is not known precisely which brand of the Swatch Group suffered the most and which one contributed most to sales. In a future article, we will look at the results of the Richemont Group, which comprises Cartier, Piaget e iwc, so as to have a more precise idea of how the watch market is moving.
