Omega Seamaster Professional

The watches

The Omega diving model, eternal rival of the Rolex Submariner, is called the “Omega Seamaster Professional”.

Presented in 1957, the year in which Omega also introduced two other sacred monsters of its Professional line, the Railmaster and the Speedmaster, the Omega Seamaster 300 was recently taken over by the Maison of La Chaux-de-Fonds in various re-editions, often combined with the 007 movie saga. Since the XNUMXs, Omega has been collaborating with the James Bond franchise and has supplied their watches to both Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M since 1993 is equipped with a helium valve at 10 o'clock and a wave dial, which remain its distinctive aesthetic element. Some versions of the Omega Seamaster, the “Chronograph”, have been equipped with a chronograph movement. Omega's Seamaster line also includes other models, such as the Ploprof 1200M, Planet Ocean and Seamaster 1948.

Omega's “Seamaster” collection now includes two historic Omega lines, the “Railmaster” and the “Aqua Terra”. The Railmaster is a single-time sports steel, antimagnetic, which goes to mark the Rolex Milgauss. The Aqua Terra is proposed instead as an alternative to the Rolex Datejust: it is in fact a steel sports watch with date. The entire Seamaster Professional, Seamaster Railmaster and Seamaster Aqua Terra line is powered by Omega's innovative “Co-Axial” caliber.

With far greater commercial availability than rival Rolex Submariner and ever-rising prices, the Omega Seamaster is also an attractive investment in luxury watchmaking.
