In fact, until the entire Cold War, Panerai's only customer was the Italian Armed Forces, and its products were covered by military secrecy.

Unlike the 'Hamilton Khaki Field seen above, the Panerai Radiomir 1940 modern it is a massive watch: the case, whose diameter is 42 or 45 millimeters depending on the version, makes itself felt on the wrist.
